Handbells

A bell is a simple sound making device - but when placed in the service of praise by the hands of dedicated musicians, it becomes an instrument of worship. Since the days of the Israelites, bells have been rung in the worship of God – King David praised God with bells and cymbals. Bells were the primary musical instrument of the church in the middle ages, and their basic design has remained virtually unchanged to the present. Asbury offers you two opportunities to be a part of this unbroken peal of praise.

Asbury Ringers is an advanced group of handbell ringers who provide wonderful offerings in music for our congregation. Open positions are filled by audition. Directors: Heather Batchelor and Rosemary Ainsworth. Rehearsal is Wednesday at 6:00 in Room F001 in the basement of the Faith Building .

Wesley Ringers is a handbell group for those of all skill levels. Whether you are new to music or have been playing for years, you will find a home in this bell group. Rehearsals are Mondays at 11:45 in Room F001 in the basement of the Faith Building.
Director, Terry Jackson.
